A little bit about me

I am currently 18 years old.

I enjoy reading, drawing, writing, design, fashion and travelling. I would say I am more on the artistic and expressive side of life.

I have always been interested in the arts since young and further nurtured my passion for it when I joined the art club in primary school. Thereafter, I took O level Art and proceeded to go into a design course as well. So you could say from a young age I knew I wanted to go down the Arts route.

Why Ming Dynasty Art Philosophy & Literature?

I have always been interested in Chinese culture and its art culture. I love Chinese architecture and paintings. I felt as if even though I was Chinese, my roots toward my own culture were not strong and I almost felt ashamed to say I was Chinese.
Being a design student I also wanted to better my skills and expose myself to more areas of art. I wanted to improve my mindset towards design and empathise with my culture and surroundings.
Through this, I chose the Ming Dynasty as it was one of the most influential dynasties of the arts and literature. It had created many exquisite porcelains and architectural designs like the Forbidden City.
